Carolina Takagi is a filmmaker - Director, Writer, Creative Producer & Mindset Mentor.

A multi cultural & multi lingual background stemming from her Japanese / Swiss heritage has nurtured a unique sensitivity to how Carolina perceives the world, often without relying on the spoken language. Growing up as a ‘Third culture kid’ in Texas, Tokyo and London, Carolina has experienced first hand what it takes being an outsider and finding your footing in the world. Her own journey, often shaken up like a whirlwind at a moment’s notice, has instilled a strong sense of resilience to navigate the unfamiliar and to embrace the unknown with courage. Taking the skills and tools acquired along the way, Carolina has carved out a successful career as an ever evolving creative and entrepreneur.

Carolina is passionate about using the essence of creativity to connect people, to provide a voice for the voiceless and a presence to the unseen. A visual narrative translating into every language. Her purpose, to awaken empathy and conscious thought resonating with individuals and audiences, inspiring them to take action.

Founder of Dancing Colors, a motion picture production company, and Pink Production, a bespoke creative production company for photography & film, Carolina has built a career spanning almost 2 decades bringing creative visions to life through the power of storytelling. Curating exceptional teams, drawing out of each individual their unique talents, and harmonising them into a beautiful symphony, like a conductor of a orchestra, is a key element of her expertise. Mentoring those around her to encourage and bring forth the fire within in them has always come as second nature to her.

In 2024, Carolina co-authored the bestselling book, ‘Radical Freedom’.

Carolina’s productions have graced the covers of VOGUE, GQ,, VANITY FAIR, ELLE and more, as well as campaigns for top brands including GUCCI, PORSCHE, ZARA and NETFLIX. She has collaborated with ZENDAYA, ADELE, IDRIS ELBA, VENUS WILLIAMS, VIOLA DAVIS to name but a few, along with top models in the fashion industry. Based between LA and London, she produces worldwide.

She is currently writing scripts for feature films, celebrating the essence of connection, shifting the focus to what unites us beneath the surface of what differentiates us.
